Parama Dhamma Chethiya signs a MOU with CTRC to conduct research and training programmes
On July 15, 2024, Ratmalana Parama Dhamma Chethia Maha Pirivena, the pioneer of modern Pirivena education in Sri Lanka, signed a memorandum of understanding with the China Tibetology Research Center (CTRC) to conduct training programmes.
The event was attended by esteemed local and international representatives, including the Mahanayake Thero of the Sri Lanka Kalyani Samagri Dharma Maha Sangha Sabha of the Shyamopali Vamshika Maha Nikaya. This partnership aims to facilitate the organization of international conferences, the issuance of joint statements, and the exchange of research information on education. Additionally, agreements were made to implement cooperative education programs between countries and to carry out various research initiatives.
