Nagananda Institute Hosts Key Preparatory Meeting for WBSC 60th Commemoration

A meeting of the Organizing Committee of the World Buddhist Sangha Council was held recently (23 January 2026) at the Nagananda International Institute for Buddhist Studies.
The discussion focused on hosting the 60th Anniversary Commemoration of the World Buddhist Sangha Council in Sri Lanka, with the Nagananda Institute serving as the central venue for the event.

The gathering was attended by members of the Maha Sangha, including the Secretary of the World Buddhist Sangha Council, Most Venerable Dr. Maithipe Vimalasara Thero, who played a significant role in the proceedings.
